We’re equally passionate about helping to free people from the negative connotations often surrounding their cycles. Painful Periods Are Not Normal
Pain associated with periods is experienced by 80% of women and people with periods and 62% say another person did not take their period pain seriously. 1 in 9 are diagnosed with endometriosis, and another 65% are diagnosed with fibroids and for black women that percentage goes up to 80%. Some of the chemicals, dyes, and plastics found in traditional period products are known to lead to reproductive harm. Period wellness is more than a monthly pain and finding a care routine is essential to a healthy & happy period.

Period shaming is real: 42% of women experience period shaming; 20% of those who experienced shaming did so at the hands of a male friend; 12% of women were shamed by a family member; 10% were shamed by a classmate. 51% of men believe that women should not mention their menstrual cycles in the work place. We are determined to stop period shaming by raising awareness and promoting period positivity.

We will always use certified organic cotton and avoid ingredients that would put your body or the planet at risk. We are firm in our stance of protecting mother nature and your moon-time.

43 million. That’s how many women and people with periods in the U.S. live in poverty without access to period products. Medicaid, food stamps, and health insurance don’t cover these basic necessities, and sometimes people are forced to choose between buying feminine pads and groceries.
We believe that period products should be made available to every woman and person — and child — who needs them, and our mission is to make that possible. As such, Red Moon will be partnering with existing charities to donate a portion of all our profits to help provide these essential items for free throughout the U.S. and beyond.
About Us
Co-Founders Alison Ferrell and Cherie Marquez combine to constitute the essence of Red Moon and its mission. They share the common vision of a more eco-conscious and people-conscious future in period care. Both recognize the positive attributes of cannabis-derived products and strive to promote holistic wellness and positivity regarding menstruation and other period-related issues.
